Nah I’ve spent way more fueling this thing than at the mechanic. That $85 doesn’t last too long when it uses 15L/100km

My long roof takes about $60 to fill or so. It still feels like I do it a lot but if I go to work at the site we do most it lasts all week since it’s only 15mi from home.

The 2.5T is a little thirsty but I never found it to be too much of a pig, even with AWD. Like 20/25 , which isn’t too bad compared to a SUV of similar capabilities.

They can be serious pigs once the plugs start to go - might be worth a check if they’ve not been done recently.

The new JD Power data came out this week...

Shockingly, the cast-offs from Ford ( Jaguar, Land Rover and Volvo) are all huddled together at the very bottom of the league table.

Yeah I’m getting 16 -17 mpg in the city....I will check the plugs, I don’t have service records so no clue when they were last done. The motor is so healthy I at least know it’s been decently well maintained.

That’s probably within spec in town (as long as that’s US and not Imperial gallons) , especially if you hit the fun pedal with some gusto and considering those cars are getting older . Plugs are probably ok, just might be worth a quick check of things like that & air filters/ general tune up items especially if you don’t have records to see if you can get an extra MPG or two.

If you're doing all city driving that sounds about right for winter blend fuel. My R drops to 14-15 mpg in the winter. Highway is always easily in the 20s regardless.

Yeah, US. I do usually get into the turbo a decent amount, because it’s fun, and to blow the carbon out of it. When my mechanic first looked it over he didn’t mention plugs or air filter needing done, but they are worth checking anyways. It just got a new fuel filter and trans flush which I’m hoping will help a little.

Right I forgot winter blend is a thing. This gets 27-29 on the highway which is nice.

Yeah then it’s probably fine. That wouldn’t be shocking mileage if you were into the turbo. 20MPG is just about best case scenario in town , and that’s taking it easy. Highway is a little better, but low 20s in mixed driving is about all I could muster.

Yeah, they only brought them to the USA for a few years and they are pretty rare. It’s a TSX Sport Wagon, it’s an Accord in Euro, Australia and Japan I believe. US got an Acura version. I’m in the Bay Area and I don’t see other ones too often. It’s a really good car, I love it.
