From 2000 onwards, Spain stopped issuing plates with the province of registration on them due to the great rivalry between provinces, changes in names thanks to the inclusion of regional language (Orense and Gerona turned to Ourense and Girona) and because Madrid was running out of numbers to issue. “WG” is far from “XZ” as the final plates were, but still... Something to be considered.

Didn’t know the 964 was all wheel drive.

Nowadays plates have four numbers and three letters with no connection to the province... Spain is fast approaching the “LAA” registration.
