Sho w up at 3:50am, doors locked, tap on the glass sliding door(this is a grocery store), bakery clerk looks directly at me and turns around(new guy, normally they know to let people in). I’m going to give it 10 more minutes of sitting in this foul weather and then leave.

I left, then remembered I have to order the store for Monday so I'll have to drive back, either way I'm not waiting 2 hours in the cold for the next person with a key to show up.

Beautiful photos, porsches appeal to me on such a deep level that i feel like my love of the 911 is a part of my soul. Lol.
Anyways, I understand i guess how a customer feels but as someone who worked in retail for many years, the time before the store opens is so sacred. Its the only time they can work on prepping the store for the day ahead. Its also the only time they get to mentally prepare themselves for the day of working with people. Its not that we dislike customers, its that it does have an emotional toll for many of us. Anyways that would defobetly suck though because its a grocery store so..... its food, which is kinda necessary for you, the customer, its bot like showing up early for a lawnmower (people have done that, like what dude? It was such an emergency you needed to cone in before the store was even open to buy your mower? ).

This would happen to me sometimes when I worked early morning at McDonald’s, like 4-10am. Every once and a while the overnight people would be too busy and forget I was coming in, since their replacements didn’t come in till 6. I was just the maintence guy.

I guess I should clarify that this is my job, and I’m a grocery clerk. Spot on about the first few hours are mental prep, if feels nice to just do my work alone with my headphones in, those 2-3 hours are always the quickest

P robably nothing, it's a large store with high employee turnover so theres not much point anyways
