The wall is anything but square so plenty of shims. Lots of screws, deck screws even. Need to figure out a way to trim out the outlet and switch hole ( while I line them up better) . Hook set from Amazon arrives tomorrow. Not bad for $35 worth of material.
And for those wondering every tool made it back to its spot - including a 3/8 socket I managed to vacuum up.

They make box extensions to allow you to have the switch/outlet flush with the face of the pegboard

I almost need some of those. I did OSB in my garage, and the switches and sockets are recessed like that.

Y oi should have cut the hole a little smaller so the plate could have sat on top on the. You can make something,maybe of pl yw ood to cover the hole with a hole in it for the switch and outlet boxes . You can get these plastic retagles at home Depot to extend the electrical box.
