I I often wonder what lurks behind the garage doors in the nicer neighbourhoods. This man has an F-type and a late model Esprit.

I saw an S4 Turbo on the highway the other day, in the snow. Nods of approval .

There are no less than four classic Mustangs in our neighborhood, most in excellent condition. Because they literally never leave their respective garages.

The one neighbor that has moved his Mustang out of the garage, has instead parked it in the driveway. It hasn’t moved in months since then.

One guy starts his up occasionally, and has a dryer vent hose that he keeps right there, in case he doesn’t want to open the garage door more than a crack.

There’s also a turbo’d mid-80s Mustang that never moves, except once when they vacated their driveway for guest parking .

That’s cool. But, you need to find out what’s in their other garage ! Might be an old 2002!

A neighbor of mine has managed to hide a 10+ car collection mostly in an (very) assuming looking garage designed to look somewhat like a house which he converted to look like (a not very convincing replica of) and old gas station.

I’ve seen his collection and it is pretty impressive: 60s RHD Jag sedan, 60s Alfa Spyder, Triumph, Fintail Mercedes, Mercury Cougar, Firetruck (outside), and a bunch of other Mercedes and AMG models.

I find that a good time to see all the great stuff people keep in the garages is the annual neighborhood July 4 parades. Sometimes then you get to talk to the owners afterward instead of just peering into their driveways.

And the house itself is quite attractive, too.

Here enjoy a crappy (blame my dashcam) pic of an F40 a couple blocks down the street from where I lived in Houston:

IIRC, also in the garage was another Porsche, and a red sports car, probably this Ferrari:

(Google Street View of the same house before they built their new garage/addition)

Being in Houston, these probably visit EL_ULY once in a while.

Ughhhh we both know it’ll be worth slightly more than sticker if he’s lucky and that it won’t offset the costs of storing and maintaining it and also there are better investments and also how about enjoying it
