oh, the other thing is the idea that an open space on my calendar means “I must not be doing anything.” I do occasionally have to do my job.

and the other thing that grinds my gears is the idea that if you set up a WebEx for a particular length of time, you have to fill up that whole time slot.  If you’re done with the purpose of the meeting early, DON’T TRY TO FIND OTHER THINGS TO TALK ABOUT.

Ha. I used to put fake private meetings into my Outlook calendar so I could hide away and get work done. Otherwise I’d be on fifteen meetings that could have been an email and would have to work late to get all my stuff done.

Keep in mind, this is when I was an intern and paid hourly. So yeah the money was cool but working 70 hours a week in the summer when you’re 21? Nah.

I actually do put fake appointments on my calendar occasionally to keep people from bothering me. Because, if I just schedule out administrative/paperwork time, nobody takes it seriously

you flip it out the window thinking it smashed on the ground, but its really hanging by the power cord so when you walk out the door it finally pulls the cord out of the outlet and it smashes on your head.
