I’ve never been “into” the whole Ducati thing... but somehow feel, with this introduction, that it’s like somebody dangling a vial of fine Peruvian cocaine in front of me.

“Oh, so THIS is what all the excitement’s about...”

it depends on what you want from riding. I also saw ducatis for pushing dime a dozen monsters and ‘italy’ douchebaggery.

then I rode a 1198.

that bike re-set some standards . VIOLENTLY reset them.

Dime a dozen!? Why you little!!

Yeah you're not wrong at all. But for some of us, they're perfect. Then there are those who don't really ride but just flaunt the name and looks.

That’s wild. If I had cash to burn, this would be the ultimate track weapon. But things being what they are,  I’d be perfectly content with a 959 Panigale.

Hot take : All superbikes/sport bikes/wha tever look the same to me, and they are all ugly. You think the Civic Type R is o ver- styled? Well, superbikes are even worse. T his new Ducati is nothing more than another offender in a long line of ugly motorcycles. That said, I’ve never ridden one, so for all I know the riding experience could be well worth the hideousness. But I definitely wouldn’t buy one for the styling. Feel free to explain to me why I’m wrong.

there is only so much you can do with the amount of real estate on a bike for styling. You have to make it stand out somehow.

Kinja'd!!!

but if you think they all look the same...then you are also the guy that says all cars look the same. or all cross overs look the same.

They dont, you just cant make the effort to differentiate them.

that, or they look like a blur going by XD

YOU KNOW I’M RIGHT.

dont get me wrong, for some ppl, its exactly what they want. but it was selling a lifestyle not a ride w ith the monster. (much like H-D)

You are right. And that's probably a big reason why some many HD converts gravitate to Ducati. Myself included. But at least Ducati has the substance to back up the lifestyle and make bikes that are great to ride.

I called that the DAY you bought the H-D. Frankly, i’m shocked you kept it for as long as you did.
