also for me, migraines tend to be right at the side of my head, above the right eye.. and relentless pounding to the point i can’t muster up the desire to even do anything. it’s the worst. oh and i get all nauseous
and can’t even eat/drink anything. just sit in a dark room and rest for a few hours and pray it goes away eventually.

I had one exercise-induced migraine after overdoing some HIIT training several years ago. It felt like a stroke or something, and I started puking at work. Very weird...went home and slept, then I was fine a couple hours later. But very scary.

Migraines suck. Hard. I have a history of them in my family. My mother, my sister and I all get them. Yay us.
And yeah, when it’s bad, there’s not a whole lot I’ve been able to do about it. Sitting in a dark room helps. Also I’ve found that taking a super hot shower can get some relief, at least for me.

I’ve had maybe 3 migraines in my life. I usually just get tension headaches that are readily treated with a couple aspirin. The first time I had a migraine, I thought I was having a stroke. I had this migraine aura that preceded it..I was reading and it seemed that half of the words were disappearing on the page. I looked at myself in the mirror to see if I was having facial drooping and my eyes looked ok (no blown pupils ) and checked to see if I could speak and walk. I knew my mom had migraines, but I was almost 40 when my first one came on. Then the pain came and it was worsened by light and sound, so I lay down for a few hours until it was gone.

Ugh I’m sorry. My girlfriend gets migraines pretty frequently. She’s had some success with CBD and surprisingly enough with a pain management app, which sounds insane to me, but hey whatever works.

I get bad clusters that turn into debilitating migraines. I am useless for 48 hours once it starts . Haven’t had one in a few weeks. So knock on wood.

Oh, been there. My boss even called the paramedics once and had me hauled to the hospital when I came in with one; I had taken two days off but was still on probation and came in, but I looked (and felt) like hell.
The interesting one I get is an ocular migraine. No pain, but my vision starts to get wonky, but just in one eye . The first time it happened I thought I was having a stroke and went to a co-worker to see if I looked and was speaking normally. Seriously freaky, but I’ve had epilepsy, so I’m used to weird things happening with my brain...

This the first one I’ve ever had. It’s been nearly 10 hrs since it started and it’s finally started to back off. I could almost not even walk through the house without feeling like I needed to puke.

My mom used to get them at the age I’m at currently, never figured out why. They just stopped eventually I think there was 5 years or so when she would get one every few months and spend the day in bed with a towel over her head.
