Heh. Yeah, the locals here DO get piss-ey about the weather if it gets below 60 at night.

My daughter went to a private school here in SoCal where, anytime it w as below that 60 degrees, INSTANTLY the heavy ski parkas and heavy fur UGG boots would come out.

Define cold for LA. It was 60-something degrees here in DC today and I found that to be an excellent early february temperature.

It’s funny... you actually experience that A LOT here in SoCal. It’s “mild” but that doesn’t necessarily mean “warm in the winter”.

Conversely, we always get a lot of hot weather in summer-- so you’re sometimes surprised to see it cooler in Dallas, in August, than Van Nuys.

A few years ago went to a conference in San Diego in January. i had a couple hours at lunchtime so I went to the pool. Its sunny and upper sixties, a few other guys there . Someone goes “ where are you from?” folks answer “ Milwau kee, Cleveland, Minneapolis etc” . meanwhile the hotel staff is walking around bundled up in long sleeve shirts and heavy sweaters.
