I can't decide if I appreciate this or not.

Was discovering things to turn on a wood lathe always a thing, or did the Internet start it?

I think it’s been a thing as long as there have been lathes, but I’m guessing that pushing the art further has accelerated exponentially since YouTube.

I love shit like this, especially when I’m laid up sick.

As someone who dabbles with woodworking regularly, I appreciate the skill that went into this. It was oddly satisfying to watch, and the result looks really cool. I like it.

I’ve been intrigued by the epoxy and wood “river” tables that are all over youtube, but the most impressive ones are the ocean shoreline wave tables.

One lady did an “ocean” pour on an electric guitar and it turned out pretty neat.

I've seen a few river tables, but that ocean one looks amazing.
