Made a quick road trip to Denver yesterday to enjoy the 68F temps before the next blizzard tomorrow. The main objective were a few u-pull-it salvage yards, especially the one that supposedly had an E12BMW. Of course it was mislabeled in their inventory and it was actually a 1993 model. Oh well.

At the next yard I saw these wheels peeking out.

Kinja'd!!!

I didn't look to closely, as I don't have a Saab turbo that needs parts, but having this in a yard to be stripped gave me a case of the sads.

Seeing cool stuff in yards makes me sad, but there’s usually a reason it’s there. Every car that goes to a junkyard will have its parts live on to keep another car on the road, though. It’s better for it to be parted out than it is for it to labor and rust in someone’s backyard.

I was going to say, I wouldn’t have left without those, they have to be worth more than what you would pay for them

Missing hubcaps probably hurts their value a bunch, though I guess they are still worth something.
