In unrelated news? I need to find a house with a garage to rent or get a shop space together soon. Lease is up in May.

Nicely done !

This is one of the big things I worry about selling our house and moving to an apartment - how do I get more parking/space to work? Obviously it can be done, just requires some creative thinking...

I rented a garage space at one apartment, and then the next time I was working in the area, I just got a townhouse with a garage and had one of my coworkers rent one of the rooms from me. One car garage isn’t ideal for wrenching, but it beats a carport or parking lot.

In my rental in GA I built a paint booth in the garage to paint my Vette.  Neighbors probably thought I was cooking meth whenever the garage door was open.

I thought I was pushing the envelope when I rebuilt some carbs in my apartment years ago. Living somewhere I don’t have space to work on projects sort  of feels like jail to me.

It kind of sucks working outdoors in the winter, but at least I have a parking lot instead of the street as before.

Good on you for getting it done. I finally have a heated garage shop for the first time after many, many years of wrenching, having to wait probably makes me enjoy it even more, just put a sink in last week.

I built 2 engines on the dining room table in our apartment before we got our house.

The only thing that bothered my wife about it was when I ported/polished the heads/intake manifold as it left aluminum dust everywhere.
