The first problem isn’t money so much as it is timing. I only ever buy a handful of cars I like from a given brand, so they have to count and be priced just at sticker or slightly lower. That doesn’t happen every day, and once sales are on, there’s no guarantee the casting I want to actually grab is still there at all. I t’s even worse for independent resellers and garage items: at best, I have just a week of lead time before someone snipes it. Or the reverse happens: there’s a lot of stock, but I have no money.
