HEMIWagon Project Log: Update! We're Moving?

The !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! has been a long standing project to at least loosely document the progress and changes over my ownership of this car. Oppositelock was always great place to host this as it really offered everyone a way to comment, give advise, get advise and see where this project was able to take me.

If Kinja really does axe all personal blogs, fear not. I am backing up as much as I can from my profile, and will be uploading everything I can in chronological order, along with offering a new home to the project log. There will still be a place for photos and comments, but that exact home hasn’t been created yet . In the past I have worked directly with Wheelwell, and the HEMIWagon as of typing his post sits as the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! on the entire site. It’s most likely going to reside on my own website, and the final link will be posted wherever I can, !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , Facebook and maybe even my Reddit account.

As of last update, the big ticket items that need to be addressed? I done blew the head gasket. It was 100% my fault for not diagnosing the car better the first time it overheated, but there is good news, the heads are not warped because it was caught very early . I have a gasket set, and I will be ordering long tube headers with mid pipes to get the car back on the road as soon as I’m able to.

This car and along with my SL600 Sport have seen me through jobs, girlfriends and postal codes. With the Oppositelock community being what it is, it has been nothing but amazing to be able to share this project log, and I will make sure that regardless of what goes on with Kinja, there will always be a place to go for news, updates and musings of this car.

It is a sad ending, seeing my membership go back over 10 years in this community, seeing the original format change, seeing everyone hate it, and seeing it change again. This community has been a major part of my life and has given me friendships and helped me shape a career that I never thought would be possible.
