I was parked in the street near a sample tap at work and had an oblivious woman that was staring at her phone just walk into the front of my truck. My trucks has a flashing beacon above the cab, flashers in the grill, and a flasher on the fender which all would’ve been visible if she had looked up at all.

It still gives me a chuckle.

I see this, and I really wonder... what IQ level do you need to be able to coordinate walking, and decide that jaywalking across such a busy street is a good idea (for any reason, it’s obvious the people are pissed about something, but still... )?

That could have gone much worse. One of my sister’s childhood friends got killed by walking into a bus that was turning a corner, while she was talking on her cell phone .

Obviously it’s incredibly stupid to jaywalk like that without paying any attention. I will say none of the nearby intersections seem to have any crosswalks, which is pretty crappy design, and I can’t blame them for jaywalking, or using the center lane as an island (not that that’s at all safe), but seriously assuming the cars are trying to kill you and pay attention, don’t just walk into the side of a truck.
