Haven’t had an Oppo meetup yet but two other guys have been thinking about meeting with me as one of them drives through around Thanksgiving. I feel like it would be a ton of fun. Too bad COVID has put the kibosh on any larger meets.

Those pictures bring back some great memories. Thanks for posting them. I swear the timing could not have been better as I stumbled across the article on jalopnik saying oppo was being closed... So i had to take one last stroll through the forum. And im glad i did because I wouldn’t have found this post. Thankfully my log in still worked (somehow), because its been years since Ive logged in here. Ive definitely missed out on a lot, but life happens and you get busy i guess.
Glad you guys kept the meets happening.

Do you still have your FZR? I got a ‘91 600 project bike last year. I remembered you had some kind of old sportbike but I just looked back at your last post and realized it’s the same one as me...

I definitely spend less time online nowadays so maybe Ill check in once in a while (for however long is left).
Ahhh the FZR! Yep you have pretty much the same bike as I did. I sold it a couple years back. Great bike. Had over 60k miles on it when i sold it. Not one issue out of that bike. My sister took it for a ride one day and laid it down damaging some cosmetics. That along with the fz1 I had at the time convinced me to let it go. Tires were also hard to come by for that bike.
There should still be an FZR forum with tons of good info if you need help. I never had to do anything crazy to that bike so im probably not the best resource haha. I just rode it.

They’re fantastic, underrated bikes that are quickly going extinct. Even though mine is the worst out of my 3 condition and mileage-wise, I won’t sell it for a very long time

Yeah, I never came across anyone else with that bike. Only thing i wish it had was better headlights. I rode at night a lot and it was terrible. My grom has a better light haha.

He seemed to move exclusively to FB Oppo. It’s funny I’ve done 4 meetup with the MA Oppo’s, but had to skip every NYC area meetup for work.

I’m not sure if anyone is organizing NYC meetups anymore, I left in 2018 when I graduated school
