Hey all - a lot of us have migrated over to DriveTribe to some extent for the time being (or longer)....Taylor Martin kindly just wrote up a test article to show that DriveTribe’s platform is capable of long-form posts a la Oppo as well as Drivetribe’s briefer 500 character ‘quick posts’.

Check it out! Certainly seems like a fairly decent comparison, though a bit more to get used to on the post-creation front for longer-form writeups:

I prefer it to the AIM chats. I'm on those too, but as far as user experience goes DT seems a reasonable replacement at first glance.

See, I think I’d prefer an old-school forum more, in a way...then again, I’m an ‘old man’ and grew up with them. Various games and computer modding forums back in the day and car forums like Import-Era and Japanese Nostalgic Car.

I’d get used to and use whatever though as long as most of us are there!

Yup...I think I’d still prefer an old-school forum....probably because I grew up with those, but DT’s functionality isn’t as bad as I thought...seems somewhat similar to Kinja in a lot of ways.

On DT? Yeah, sc roll back on Oppo a bit...I linked a test long-form post Taylor Martin did to see how it works where he made a tutorial on how to do long-form posts on DriveTribe...seems half decent, actually.

The ‘Plus’ on DriveTribe is for quick posts of 500 characters or less. You have to use the ‘Studio’ to create long-form content.
