See this is why I hate touch controls. Buttons and handles work fine. Never once have I said “wow this button sucks I wish I could flail around and smudge a screen with my oily fingers”. I have wondered on multiple occasions where the button is on the trunk release and have to flail around blind.

It was an absolutely maddening function.  My friend ended up not buying the car, mostly because we got so turned off by it.  Seriously, he was ready to buy the SOB right then and there until he couldn’t open the door.

From what I understand that was the best financial decision he could have made. Those cars have extremely poor reliability reputations.

Dunno.  He never made the best money decisions anyways (which means he never listened to me).  And if he were to buy the MP4, I would have applauded it, since it’s better to have access to someone else’s McLaren than it is to own your own McLaren.
