Clean , manual Xterra for 3.5k just listed right in my neighborhood. That’s actually my kid’s elementary school in the background. I’ll be checking it out tomorrow, hopefully before the sun goes down (damn you dst, can’t even end at the right time).

Is a pitman arm spposed to be worse with ifs? Either Xterra will give you ifs.

Just handles worse, with less feel and more difficulty to work on. There’s pros and cons to both gens. If it’s a clean, manual, 4x4 for $3500 then it’s a pretty good deal.

So it drives more like an old truck with a pitman arm? Between that and being slow and guzzling gas it will feel all the more familiar to me lol

The steering geometry is fine, the later ones are just better all around. The early ones excel at driving and making you feel like you’re in an old Nissan truck, so if that’s what you’re after well hot dog.

If you want old truck experience, they are great for that, but if you want newer features, styling, power, etc the newer one is better. The interior is a lot more practical, the 4.0L is super easy to work on and find parts for. Also the rust proofing is a lot better, if you’re in an area where that matters.
