What a strange race this was, after the #blessed VSC it looked like it was going to be your typical HAM-BOT-VER podium.

Someone said that you have to be good to be lucky, and lucky to be good. For Hamilton, that seems doubly true; you’d figure that his luck was all used up back when he still finished P1 on three tires.

I’m convinced that he moans about his tires just for memes (which I find funny) ; he said around lap 13 that his right front tire wasn’t doing so good and then ends up putting in a massive stint where his lap times were faster than BOT/VER on fresh hard tires.

The double shoey on the podium was fun to see, Danny had such a blast being up there - his great attitude is so contagious. Time will tell if there’s anything contagious in his shoes, too.

George is one of those drivers that leaves me feeling conflicted - the kid’s obviously got talent but he’s throwing away points opportunities. He looked absolutely gutted, so he knows how badly he fucked up.

Speaking of fuck ups, this very well could’ve been a podium for Perez, really odd strategic decision to pit when everyone saw how difficult it was for people to overtake. Vettel should feel right at home next year.

A lot of solid drives today - Kvyat, Leclerc, Raikkonen... even Vettel had a big stint before he got rekt by the pit stop.

Overall, a race that was looking to be stagnant because of the overtaking difficulties ended up being weirdly entertaining.
