Before Kinja shuts Oppo down, I’ve decided to go ahead and hit Publish on a bunch of my old drafts that I never got around to completing. Some of these are going to be a little rough, so be prepared for unfinished rambling trains of thought, run-on and dead-end sentences, and lazily pasted comments that I meant to expand upon.
On June 2nd 2016, an odd coincidence occurred
So according to the source articles, the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! went down in Colorado Springs around 1:15pm (Mountain time?) (3:15pmest) and the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! went down in Smyrna around 3pm (Central time?) 4pm est if I’m doing the time zone math correctly...

That is a crazy coincidence.
One of the most memorable experiences of my childhood, was playing outside in the backyard, and spontaneously seeing the Blue Angels roar past in banked formation above the main road 1/2 block away. The left wingtip of the plane at the bottom of the formation couldn’t have been more than 100' above the trees.
To this day, it’s the coolest thing I’ve ever seen.
I lived directly north of Glenview Naval Air Station. Which had one runway, and trees directly to the south, so everything came in and out from the north.

i was up cleaning my gutters last fall and an F-18 did a low and slow pass over our neighborhood . I started freaking out and yelling across the street to my neighbor ‘dude OMG loo k loo k lo ok look!!!!!!’ and he yells back at me ‘holy crap dude hold on to the fucking ladder!!!!!!!’
