My wife went early to the rec center this week and said it was fast and painless. I’m going to either do the same tomorrow or just go on Tuesday. I need to do all my homework on the local candidates first.

My fiancée voted last week and it only took her an hour and a half. Over heard one of the poll workers that lines were only getting longer as we got closer to the election. I was just glad I was able to get away from work to vote.

Took me about 10 minutes to complete the ballot and walk down to the mailbox :)

I voted absentee here in Michigan. I dropped it off to a ballot box at the clerks office in late September and tracked it and it was received. I’m sorry it took so long for you.

In NJ I think mail is the primary method. They sent ballots to registered voters and I heard that in person will be more limited than in the past.

NJ is mail in, however they have drop off boxes throughout all the counties for direct pickup so you can just drop it off there.

No way with all the bullshit and rhetoric about "fraud" am I risking my ballot being lumped in with something that gets disputed by that idiot.

I was going to vote mail-in here in Virginia and had my ballot. But with all the bullshit about that stuff, though I didn’t think it would be bad with VA, I decided to vote in-person 3 weeks or so ago. A poll worker made me invalidate my mail-in ballot and turn it in as it is specific to me, and then I was able to vote regularly. Whole process took me 10 minutes. I knew the lines were only going to get worse the closer to Election Day and there was no way I was going to stand in line that long to vote. I have a bad back and I am not in the greatest shape so anything more than 30 minutes is pushing it.

Yeah, Virginia here too. Wife is out now, I'll probably go when she gets back. I hear they're getting longer but nobody out in the rain today

Sorry to hear that it took so long, but glad you and others are g etting it done.
Setting up vote by mail as the standard practice out here has worked out very well. I got to vote while my wife streamed some junk on YouTube and we put our ballots in the big blue mailbox the day after we rece i ved them.

All i care about is the Bavarian pie :
D oesn’t seem to be the same in French and English, being mostly a chocolate pie in English and a strawberry cheesecake in French ; not sure about German.

Best way I’ve ever voted. My parents were here from Texas when I voted and they both asked “Why doesn’t Texas do that?” I just replied “T hat’s a good question."

I’ve voted absentee for the last 3 or 4 election cycles, way easier and I never know if I’ll be home or not to vote.

I love the Post Office. It’s pretty essential to our country’s operation. They’re the only carrier that is required to serve the whole country- FedEx, UPS, DHL, and whoever else has a common carrier license won’t serve areas where it’s not profitable to make delivery. So they use the USPS as a last mile option to deliver the packages, since they have to deliver them.
I love the post Post Office, but I voted in person this year. A coworker and I talked about mail in voting back in April- the question he posed that made me change my mind about mail in voting was this: “would you send a hundred dollars, in cash, through the USPS without a return address on it and trust it to get there?” Despite selling car parts and such through eBay and shipping exclusively through the USPS, I would not do this,
especially
given how slowly my packages have been moving of late.

Yes, I forgot about that which is funny since I used that method and dropped my ballot at a local box. Unlike Texas NJ has a bunch of drop off boxes. Texas is one box per county or something which is insane. Imagine a million or more people trying to pop a ballot into a singular box!

WA has been vote by mail for at least a couple decades, virtually never been a problem. The worst POTUS in history can whine, but it won’t change anything - this is first world Murka, and won’t choose him anyway.
