I’ve been to Shakamak State Park a few times, and keep coming back. It’s not the most visually interesting part of the state, there’s not much to do in this area, but it’s quiet and there are enough back roads to keep me busy exploring.
Did I mention it’s quiet? I like quiet.
I’ve yakked about this place often enough that I just created a new tag for my Shakamak posts.

I put down a non-refundable deposit on a Jeep this afternoon. Since I’m out of town, nothing will be final until next week, when I’ll be sure to post a lament or celebration (or likely both).

Thanks. Several of my favorite water shots like that one are taken from a deck by the cabin I rent when I’m here. Love this place.
