I spotted this rather unusual goat habitat that repurposed an old Chevy heavy duty truck down at the corn maze. The grain truck was used as the foundation for some elaborate sky bridges to allow the goats to reach the top of a silo where you could raise food to them via conveyor belt.

You could put food in this cup attached to a belt and pedal it up to ring a bell. These goats have a fancier house than lots of Americans!

But back to the truck. It had a perfect patina between the rust and two tone green paint job. You can see in this photo how a hole is cut into the hopper upfit and there is an interior staircase to allow the goats to ascend to the next level.

Goat spotted! I wondered about whether they could just jump over the railing but it was a decent way up in the air.

Poor guy, won’t someone tell him his crack is showing?

Mask game is on point so not quite a face reveal.

Neat Massey Ferguson tractor here but it was quite small.

Just a city boy, born in south [US municipality], takin’ the midday tractor going anywhere.

I did the pedal tractor race and it was a ton of fun but exhausting. I was taking the racing line and it allowed me to make up a lot of time. I even managed to get some overtakes on the outside! The handbrake wasn’t very good so I didn’t quite manage to get some sideways action.

Did I mention the Cow Train? COW TRAIN! It was kind of underwhelming but hey, COW TRAIN!

The hayless hay ride was much more fun.

It had been a while since I had done a corn maze so I forgot how hard the are. Took my team 11 minutes to navigate but the other teams that beat us came out the exit for the short maze, not the long maze, so I suspect foul play even if unintentional.

And finally, we have an extremely expensive looking 4x4 Chevy Silverado converted to be wheelchair accessible. I find it funny that both doorhandles are still on the outside. How much do you reckon something like that costs? Brand new I’d guess 40k for the conversion on top of the cost of the pickup so that’s got to be a 100k truck at least.

Done any fun fall activities, Oppo?

Probably not that useful of a thing to keep around but good for the photos.

After that truck’s finished living its second life as a goat palace, it can live a third life as an RV.
