I love the ones that have a few exterior pictures from different angles, but zero interior pics, because, obviously, why would you need to see inside?

Or, where all the outside photos have the hood up so you can’t really tell what the front end looks like, or they’re all grainy Kodak Disk shots from the ‘80s spread out on a table and photographed with an iPhone, or all the shots are taken at night, OR they’ll post a photo of the same make/model/year c ar in perfect condition that they found somewhere online as the lead picture, followed by photos of their actual car all rusted out and completely disassembled . People are stupid and keep finding creative new ways to infuriate me.

I was browsing fleabay and came across a really cool late 40’s Lincoln Continental  with a V-12. I really wanted a peak at the engine so I went through the ad. They included 30 pictures. There were ZERO interior, frame, or under hood pictures. They just started at the nose, took a picture, took two side steps, took a picture, rinse and repeat until they got back to the nose. All the pictures were dead on from just below the belt line too.

When they don't show the interior I assume the footwells are filled with cigarettes and empty beer cans and the rest of the interior looks like they were all consumed in the car..

Or when they photograph the car in a shed so it’s cramped and you can’t see the whole thing, or when they DON’T CLEAN ALL THE DUST AND DIRT AND WHO KNOWS WHAT ELSE OFF. Seriously, there’s got to be thousands of cars out there that sold for less than they might have otherwise because neglecting to clean it made it look junky in pictures.

My best guess is that they had a tripod and felt that they had to use it for every shot for some reason? Maybe the photographer was an older gentleman who couldn’t figure out how to remove said tripod? Otherwise it seems so illogical not to photograph the engine of a car whose primary selling point is, arguably, the engine.

When they don’t show the interior, I just figure it needs to be totally reupholstered, and is therefore not worth my time to drive 2 hours to look at it.

I know if I see an ad with poor or incomplete photos, I forget it and move on to something else.

The saddest part is the sale was being handled by a classic car consigner. The owner was paying a fee to someone that was supposedly a pro and  knew what to do, and that was what they got.

Or when you add “manual” to the filter and nothing but dealership cars are found. And they’re all automatics.
