30's and snowing here this morning, the weather decided to basically skip fall this year, we had maybe 2-3 weeks of temps in the 60's, then straight to highs of 30's. I got one bike put away, thinking it was still early, then bam, snow. I’ve still got a bunch of winter prep to do, hopefully this weekend.

We are not that high here, only 3,000 feet. It’s more of a factor of being far north enough to get that cold ass Canadian air mixed with pacific north west moisture=snow, and lots of it.

Last week was still sunny and 13C. Now it’s shifting to warm weather is rain from low pressure off shore systems and sun is high pressure from the cold north.

I swapped to winters on the car yesterday because of the drop (also more tread depth  for the rain) . I don’t ride the bike below 7C just because the tires aren’t grippy, especially the first 10min of riding. I’m insured for another few weeks so I think I might ride out this cold Monday and fill the tank and put stabilizer a couple weeks ahead in case it does another few degree drop or is a constant monsoon for early Nov and I don’t ride.

Crazy ass weather. Summer took forever to come. Then it was summer until last week - we were camping this past weekend and it was 70 at night inside our camper (admittedly was cooler outside - like 50). And now suddenly we’re rushing to build a hoop house over the fall garden because it’s dipping in to the 20s at night, wtf. Did we skip fall and go straight to winter?
