...and I bought:
- ASUS GTX1660 SUPER O6G PHOENIX
- PowerSpec Bronze 550W Power supply (old one should have been enough, but I will have 2 HDDs and 1 SSD and 1 M2 drive in this baby)
- 16GB of RAM to go with the existing 16GB
Tomorrow, I’ll have to dig for a screw to install my 512GB Samsung 970 Pro M2 drive and then I’ll have to clone my C drive from the existing SSD.
Lastly, I’ll have to install COD MW, and sell my (expensive, like new, with tons of games) XBOX. Now, I can run the new COD Black Ops Cold War as well! Yay for time wasters.
Thank you all for recommendations.

Wow... Lightroom is flying! I thought I had enough RAM, but I guess doubling it made a huge difference.

TIL: that Microcenter still has stores.

On Winders 10, how do you clone the C: drive to another and make it bootable?

Only computer store left in Denver. They are always super busy.

When I got my first SSD, I used another computer and connected two drives and used... something to clone them, maybe Samsung had something provided, can’t remember now.
I know you can do it with this

Can confirm, running a 3600X and 32 gigs of ram, photoshop and Lightroom run like a dream.

Found a free solution, Macrium.

Program called Macrium I used successfully.

Like Rusty said, I used Macrium Reflect ( https://www.macrium.com/reflectfree ) when swapped a 512GB drive into my laptop this summer and it worked well (aside from the part where the stupid external M.2 housing I was using to hold the new drive while copying kept overheating and I had to hang it directly in front of my air conditioner to get through the clone).

Come on, it’s not like they are Fry’s...
Though honestly, even though I assume they are loss leaders, it’s surprising they can make money with their CPU prices and motherboard combo deals.
Last time I was in they did spray my hands with some liquid disinfectant which seemed odd. Trader Joe’s across the parking lot also required you to disinfect, so I assume it’s a Cambridge rule, but TJ’s used a normal hand sanitizer as opposed to just hitting you with some spray cleaner, which seemed considerably more normal.

Come on, it’s not like they are Fry’s...
The Fry’s near me is still open. I can’t understand why — it’s almost empty of customers and some of the shelves are bare. I can only think the owners hope to sell the land for housing. I used to go in there almost
weekly, but now I haven’t been in for about a year.

Did you check any reviews on that PSU? 80+ ratings are not a quality assurance stamp, just a rating. It's a microcenter in house brand, and their PSX line is actually decent, but I worry about the cheaper in house lines.

I was thinking that RAM would be a bit less expensive, but it’s $60 per 16GB stick if I ever want to max out this box.

I didn’t... I actually bought a different model which they didn’t have so I had to look for another one while I was there.

quality PSUs are scarce this year with the at home work/school rig building. Herres hoping microcenter made a good one there. Enjoy the build!

Thanks for the reply. It’s nice to be able to offer something useful here! It was here that someone recommended Macrium to me.
