I did months ago when Star Trek Picard came out (because I’m a big Star Trek dork). I watched that right away, and both seasons of Discovery, and I really liked both shows.

What I never got around to watching until just recently was Lower Decks. You must watch this show if you’re a Trek fan. It’s fantastic. And does a great job of poking fun at the Star Trek canon.

If you have the opportunity, it’s definitely worth a watch.

I’ve had CBS all access for about 2 months. I really like Below Decks. I’ve yet to watch either Picard or Discovery, as I’ve read some plot synopsis and they just sound, weird. Discovery more so. Is it worth my time??

I enjoy Discovery. But I can see how some Trek fans might not like it. You’ve got to give it a few episodes before you make up your mind.

Hell, it took me about 2 seasons to get into DS9. I'm in season 4 now and am really enjoying it.

I’ve been torrenting the NuTrek shows. I signed up for All Access for a bit during season 1 but found it frustrating. Both the show itself and the weekly release schedule that at the time just seemed intended to drag people’s subscription lengths out even if they were only interested in the service for Discovery. It got less frustrating in season 2. Picard was also frustrating. Lower Decks was the first one I actually enjoyed across the board. I suppose I should financially support more NuTrek but ehhh so far haven’t brought myself to do it.

DS9 took a long time for the creators to decide who the characters really were. The plots only got good after that. Unfortunately, then they got a little soap opera-ish, as do all shows that hang around long enough.

I tried it for Picard, but their app was incredibly broken on my TV (Samsung) . Stream l ocked up probably four times per episode, and only went back to near the part where it froze about half the time (otherwise going to the start of the episode, or even just to some random other episode). On top of that they didn’t have options to skip the “previously on...” or opening (though the Picard opening was nice), and there was no preview when fast forwarding and no thumbnails when skipping ahead.

My parents subscribed so my dad could watch CBS stream of Patriots games now that he’s out of market, so I guess I should steal their login and see if they’ve improved the app, or if it works better on the FireTV I got for my bedroom .

I am exactly the type of Star Trek fan that should have hated Lower Decks, but I really loved it. I’m sad (spoiler incoming!!!) that they killed off Lieutenant Shaxs, though. He was by far my favorite character. Still, they've crammed so much funny stuff in there. This will be one of those shows I'll re-watch again and again.

I haven’t watched the season premiere of Discovery yet, but I’ll get around to it.

I have one, its on hiatus until I have time binge all the shows I want to watch before I pause it again.

Just finished T he B oys (S2) and the Mandalorian starts soon, with kiddos severely limiting my TV time I refuse to have too many subscriptions running unused.
