This reminds me that I need to come up with a container/ box/crate to hold   the 600 pounds of sandbags in the bed of my truck. Two wheel drive in Maine requires good tires and weight for traction.

I put the snows on my wife’s car last night. I don’t think I’ve ever done that this early. But we’ve got plenty of snow in the forecast. I’ll probably get the snows on the BMW soon too.

I put mine Saturday and Monday morning the roads were black ice, and a snowstorm this morning. Since I drive 200 kms daily I didn’t want to wait until the last minute

Oh, I don’t think I knew that.

Those can be painful.  We had a little dog that came home one day with a rabbit snare cinched around her abdomen and biting in. I think it was laid in the fence she would squeeze through to a neighboring pasture. I had to cut it off. She had a big scar from it.

I’m going to need new work boots. As I was brushing the truck off this morning I felt my sock getting wet, from snow getting into the 3" long gashes in the sides of my boots.

Might be interesting here in a few days:

A little cold for October.  Might need to start thinking about snow tires sooner than later.
