I bet the answer to this riddle is both original and hilarious.

I’m reasonably sure that stalk is from an early- to mid- 2000’s Subaru. Amusingly, i t looks just like the one in my ‘17 WRX.

I don’t think Subaru have changed their switches and controls since MY2000.

The HVAC knobs have been reskinned a few times but yeah, I’ve still got the ancient toggle switches for my heated seats looking entirely out of place on the centre console.

They’re finally getting around to ditching some of that switchgear by moving the HVAC and heated seat/wheel controls to a big ass touchscreen in the new Outback. Having tried one, i t’s not a good experience but I’m sure it’ll be brought to all their cars anyway.

I guess if it aint broke. A few years ago, one of the local rally teams had a bunch of ~07-10 STI interiors for sale..seats, consoles and door cards.  I was very surprised that most were still plug and play with the ‘00 Fozzy.

BMW. Audi. Mercedes. Take your pick and plunk it into the Mad Libs joke format.

Yep. That's ours. 2000 Subaru Forester. Although we don't let the spiders get that carried away...

Even though I use my turn signals, spiders are obsessed with my car and build their sticky food nets all over it when I park. Luckily, this hasn’t happened too much in the  interior... yet.

It would have made using my turn signals much easier after shoulder surgery, I’ll give you that.
