Good Morning!
I quit my gov’t job and am starting a new one which starts today, my new gig only gives off the major federal holidays but pays considerably more.
This new hire orientation over zoom is not going well though ...

I don’t know why people use it so much, it’s way worse to use than Webex or Teams for work.
Right now we’re going through OSHA training and it’s painful. People keep leaving their mic not on mute and it’s blowing my damn mind!
Also yes, I wish this was all over and we were all back in the office. I like working from home a day or two per week, but every day for 7 months is a bit much. OHMAGOD I’VE BEEN HOME FOR 7 MONTHS!!!!

My wife works for a Major Texas University™ and she has been told to expect to remain WFH through the spring semester. She gets a lot done but she misses socializing with her coworkers.

Same, I’ve been productive but miss my workplace, it’ll be strange as hell to try to get know new people over zoom . Not every place is Oppo with us making friends online.
My previous employer had postponed making any plans of returning until spring 2021 at least. My new job I’ll be a majority remote job for now, but will have to go in occasionally since part of my job will be maintaining a test lab.

It is Canadian Thanksgiving today. So no work today for me. Hopefully going to go to my uncle's to pick up a few old tools.

Me neither, it’s awful to actually use. Teams, Skype, Webex. Gotomeeting are all better tools for this.
