One of those faithful to the original covers, as opposed to the “reimagined” kind. The guitar solo is a decent replacement for the original sax.

I had tickets to see Icehouse in concert in 1988, just the week after my accident. I never did get to see them. That whole album was good, and it’s stood the test of time for me.

The talent was very deep in the late 80s. Even a one hit wonder like icehouse had an album with solid tunes, even if none of them made the charts. That’s why I still love listening to full albums to get the vibe.

You mention your accident and from your posts over the years I’ve assumed that you are differently abled although I’ve never seen a specific post overtly about it.  Have you shared the story of the accident through a post?

I don’t know. I guess I’ve never thought anyone would want to know. It makes some people uncomfortable to hear such things.

I was on a club bike ride on a sunny Sunday just after sophomore year of college , and I got run into by a kid in his dad’s Pontiac. I shouldn’t have lived, but I did.

Two months later, I emerged from the hospital in a chair. Life ensued. Thirty two years after that , here I am.
