It’s done. Hernia removed and mesh installed. Have to come back in 10 days to remove the staples.

Feeling not too bad  thanks to the many doses of morphine.

What is the estimate for recovery time? How big was it? I have one that had been stable but is starting to cause discomfort and am reconsidering surgical treatment. I would like to hear how things turn out.

In and out of the hospital the same day.

They put me off work for 6 weeks, since you can’t really lift anything.

In ten days the doc will remove the staples. I’m guessing I should feel fine after that. But I’m going to be ultra careful.

To me it the hernia was about 2-3 inches long. I wasn’t operated by camera. They cut in my scar from when I had a stoma.

Hurts getting up, sitting in the car, walking.

I had mine since April 2017 after they removed the stoma, and put me all back together.  Hope the pain finally goes away.
