ML32F3FJXJHF08722 if anybody can get a free Carfax, I saw an autocheck but I feel like Carfax sometimes shows stuff autocheck doesn’t so if you can, awesome and thanks! If not no worries, probably gonna buy the car anyways, it's a dirt cheap basic commuterbox con Manuel.

Those are the tiniest wheels I have seen on a new car in quite some time.

Give it a bull bar and rally lights and you’re cooking a stew

TIL these are made in Thailand, never paid attention I guess. Unusual for a 4 wheeled vehicle here.

And now I know what the beginning of the WMI for Thailand is!

A sedan? Why not the hatchback? :p

There is nothing wrong with that :o)

They are quite small, would hopefully get replaced with some nice 15" or 16" wheels down the line, I’ll have to do some photoshooping .

Correct, although I think powershift automotive said the OEM tire size is pretty limited for options so I would hopefully find some 15 or 16 inch wheels I could put a more common tire on.

I knew the hatches were but I thought the sedan was more or less designed for our market so I was afraid it was built in Mexico. I guess Thailand is maybe better? No clue lol.

That's one option, I was thinking maybe a slight drop at some point but who knows.

I would much rather the hatchback, and I actually found a 2017 in the same color (I like the color) but it was a year older, a little farther away and almost 50k more miles for only like $500 less so I think I'm just gonna go for the sedan.
![]() 01/21/2020 at 15:02 |

But why would you want one?
![]() 01/21/2020 at 15:10 |

Getting from A to B cheaply and efficiently I’d guess? These things have a role.

I’d prefer the hatch, myself, but yay for cheap,
basi
c, manual
ecoboxes! I wish there were more of them these days!

Because it's still better than a versa, duh. Also I like cheap crappy cars and am being forced into making a purchase before I'm quite ready so I'll have to be able to juggle two payments for a little while until my wife's car is paid off later this year.

I like the color too. With That kind of deal I’d get the sedan too. Same reason I didn’t get a wagon. The wagons I found cost 2-3 grand more with 10-20k miles more on the clock.

I’ve heard these are no fun at all to drive, there are other companies that offer cheap, efficient, and reliable cars.

Thank you! I just can never make up my mind for more than two days on what I want, so the plan this time is to minimize the financial damage and maybe try my hand and modding it a little to make it more what I want. But running costs are the big factor, great gas mileage, cheap to insure, should hopefully be reliable but this one even has another 35k of factory warranty, for under 8 grand.

Not quite as cheap I don’t think. Maybe you could find a Spark or something, don’t know if those are any better.

I know, of everybody on this wonderful site I feel like you’re the closest to my tastes lol. I want a hatch too but this sedan is a year newer and 50k less miles for only $500 more compared to the hatch I was looking at. What I really want is a goddamn mazda2 but Mazda won’t sell me one. I had a 2014 and loved it, my first brand new car. If they sold the current one here with a manual I would buy one brand new tomorrow, but the Yaris version has a stick in the sedan only and dear God that grill.....

I think some Asian markets also have a fetish for anything with a trunk, just like Murka. Probably sell more of them in that region, and costs are so low, it pencils out to send some here.

Much expensive, but could always buy an auto hatch, manual swap it and then get a Mazda2 front fascia? :P
Yup...I’m pretty old man in my tastes. When they go wrong, modern cars can be so expensive to service...so many sensors, etc, etc. :(

Well I could just go to Puerto Rico and buy one there and ship it to Florida or something, they're legal here you just can't buy them. But I don't speak Spanish and haven't been able to find many ads down there, plus with all the hurricanes and whatnot, there's a lot of risk.

Not sure what you guys have there, but have you looked at a base model Accent or Kia Rio? Though I don’t think you get the current-gen Accent hatch down there...? We do here in Canada.

I haven't driven either, their really hard to find with a stick. I like the Rio, my wife has a 2013 that's been a good car, but we can only get the manual with crank windows etc, and I'm looking for something a little nicer than that. The accent is better equipped, we do only get the sedan to make way for the new venue but if I could find one with the stick I'd certainly consider it.

Gotcha. :)
See, I PREFER crank windows because I am weird. :P

See I like small manual hatchbacks but I do like some comfort and convenience too. Ideally I would love heated seats, Android auto and maybe a sunroof, but those are hard to find in subcompacts. Mainly I want power windows/locks/mirrors, keyless entry but no door buttons or push button start, and cruise control. Which even cruise control is hard to find in a manual subcompact.

Understandable! I just like things nice and simple, so the only feature I miss on occasion in the summer is A/C and SOMETIMES Cruise on long trips, but otherwise, I’m fine!
