I’m not used to spraying epoxy primer, the sheen when dry was really throwing me off while I waited for it to flash between coats
It’s impressive how fast two box fans running full-tilt as exhaust on a 15F night will drop an 80 degree garage back into the low 60s.
I mixed about an ounce shy of enough, but I ran out 3/4 of the way through the last fender’s second coat, and I have to do a little filler work on them anyway (where I welded in patch) so a quick blocking and two more coats is planned later.
These will be staying in epoxy for quite a while, since I don’t plan on painting anything until I work my way around the whole car, which is going to be a long time from now.

Do you use a mask or forced air? You get bonus points for winter prep and prime.

Absolutely, P100/organic vapor respirator on me and two 20" box fans under the garage door (visible above) to pump the fumes out as quickly as possible.
I appreciate the bonus points - this is a huge pain in the winter, as compared with summer when you don’t have to worry about keeping things warm... but hey, no bugs!

Yes, best time to paint, at least around here, is a warm day in early spring, when temps are up but bugs aren't buzzing around. Epoxy primer is a good thing. I have used it on the handful of cars I have painted. While my paintwork is far from perfect, I have never had issues with substrate, no lifting, checking, bubbling etc. Nice sticky durable surface to put the pretty stuff on.

wow..now I know what a project would look like if I gave it to a house painter with 3 more years till becoming a journeyman .., except they wouldn't have been so Jewish with the amount of primer and probably not as many holidays
