Not a fan, always hated the c-pillar designed and was concerned as to why Chrysler sold both this and the N ew Y orker (and frankly IIRC, even the Concorde was quite similar, if prettier).
I did have a huge crush on a girl who drove one in high school, but it certainly wasn’t due to her car selection (and looking back would have been a pretty terrible match).

the New Yorker existed because of old man Iacocca.

We had one when I was a child. My parents got rid of it quite quickly, as even at 3 years old it was falling apart. It did last longer than our Volvo 850 though.

These cars were amazingly roomy inside.

I just spotted a clean one a few days ago:
I take pics of oddball and forgotten cars for my friends Obscure Cars of Western NY Instagram carspotting page.

I’ve heard before that the c-pillar was designed in such a way so that it was impossible to install an aftermarket vinyl roof - that may just be a rumor.
The LHS was supposed to be sportier than the New Yorker in suspension tuning , interior outfit , and overall styling. Both the LHS and New Yorker offered more rear leg room than the Concorde.

The Auroras were neat, too.

A clean first gen Aurora is one of my affordable but not attainable dream cars. Finding any 90s GM in good condition is like finding a needle in a haystack.

Always loved this car. My grandma however, an avid Chrysler fan hated it. This gen was the reason she got rid of her K-car based ‘88 New Yorker.

How does that line of thinking even work?

Beats me. But with that having been her 3rd New Yorker and wanting a 4th. I think she was just turned off.

LHS and New Yorker were 2 of THE BEST looking cars ever made. Having owned (red NY, black NY, 2 green LHS, black cherry LHS and a black Eagle Vision TSi, then white 300M ... and m y mother had a red Intrepid...), I adored every one of them. Of the aforementioned, 5 of the ones I owned were brand new, the others, obviously used. I had mechanical issues with the 2 used (transmission). I STILL look for low mileage, perfect condition examples to purchase, but they are rare. Everyone has their opinion on certain cars. I guess in my case,t o own one (errrr, 7) is to love one.
