All of the pictures are terrible. Yes, let’s take pictures of the seatbacks!

While I can’t see it perfectly clearly, I don’t see any warning lights lit.  Not sure.

Red flag: ads who only put information about the dealer under “Seller’s Notes”. Still, if I had an extra $7k to throw around, I would be tempted.

I know somebody who owns one of these. He recently had to get new tires and installed the cheapest Chinese made tires he could find.

My view is that people who can’t afford the expensive maintenance and repairs should never own cars like this.

I predict that eventually, enough people will learn the hard way and more people will go back to more basic, non-luxury cars

I disagree about people learning a lesson. There is a sucker born every minute.

The more complicated these luxury cars get, the faster they will depreciate,  the more tempting they become, and the sooner they will end up in a junkyard.

I’d bite if it was a CLS AMG.

That’s why you buy a single owner luxury car and then don’t try to run it on a shoestring budget. My 3 certainly hasn’t been cheap, but neither has it been prohibitively  expensive either.

Mercedes 5.0L V8 is a solid engine.

The rest of the car...

You bought in when it was still relatively expensive. Once depreciation hits the bottom and its on its 3rd or 4th or 5th owner, all bets are off.

The same people that neglect maintenance on their 15 year old BMW are the same that would neglect a Toyota Camry.

Fantastic engine but I can about guarantee the rest of the car is a roach. $20k would buy it and get it in good shape though! On the plus side, that engine is bulletproof. But it's not an AMG so hard pass.

I’ve always liked the CLS, so I'd have to admit that I'd be tempted. I don't drive my personal vehicles very much because I have a work van. I've had my truck nearly a year and I've barely put 7k on it. But I'm also in a sketchy neighborhood.

Could it be swapped into a RWD F-150? That would be hilarious.
