Philip Hammond on Chief Mouser Palmerston*
*Chief Mouser Palmerston is the parliament cat.
With old buildings known to have mice and rats. Along with contractors, cats have been added to some locations to keep rodent populations down.
Costs coming from the ‘staff kitty’, to pay for ‘all aspects of his welfur’. Doh.
If only EssExTee could be so grossly incandescent

Lol. FWIW. Unlikely the PM or MP for that matter, just staff at the FCO.
AFAIK.

They wouldn’t of paid for it. They would of come up with it in their down time or out of boredom.
Some of our parliamentary sessions are rather entertaining really. Some times it’s like a childrens playground and some times it’s a great way to fall asleep out of sheer mind numbing monotony.

I was going to make a comment about how it’s not news that Parliament is full of rats, but then I remembered that’s it’s not my government.
