I guess they let us affected owners know what’s up sometime in March.

I'll take it off your hands. I'll even throw in some string cheese for your troubles.

Trade for a Miata? It’s worth at least 5 cheeses ticks.

Funny. I bought a Tacoma today.

Did you get rid of the 4Runner?

It’s for sale. I bought a 2020 Tacoma TRD Off-Road today. Black on black, premium package. Couldn’t stomach spending another 25k on a Raptor or nice diesel.

Cool. I like the 4Runner, but I’m not visualizing it to be the “lifetime” vehicle I though it might be.

Miatas and cheese? What’s not to like!

Life is easier with a pickup. Especially having two pickups. I had big plans for the 4Runner, but spending a ton of money on a base trim with a ton of miles seemed silly. I barely drive as it is... in ten years my son will have a Tacoma with around 80k miles on it for his first vehicle.

But do you have the OEM hardtop? Noooooooo. That’s like 27 cheesesticks. We’re treading into Costco quantities, folks.

You not wanting to keep a vehicle?!
A stunning turn of events for all parties involved.

I’m keeping it! FOREVER*
I just need to buy something else to play with. Come March, I’ll be in my annual “must buy motorcycle” phase. Followed by muscle car phase, followed by boat phase...

My wife has some home project ideas that would make a pickup valuable. I’d just get an old Ranger or something and include that in the cost of the work!

Pffft. Having a gallon of water spew all over you every time you come to a stop is part of the experience.

I’ll swap cars with you. You take my Corvette for part of the year I take your 4Runner

You should be shocked! Ha. I really do like the 4Runner. It’s a nice vehicle. It’s not going anywhere for a while. Of course, what “a while” is has yet TBD. I went with the 4Runner over the Jeep last year because it left some extra cash on the table for a project/fun car. I just need to get off my butt and figure out what the project/fun car will be. Leading candidate is a TJ. My dumb neighbor won’t sell me his ‘06 LJ.
If I have to start tackling larger honey-do projects around the house, it may be a manual Ranger for a year or two.

https://www.toyota.com/owners/resources/recalls Just plug in your VIN and see!
Hopefully it ends up being nothing more than the inconvenience of visiting the dealer.

Yikes. Although I wish tickets and fines were given out to the rolling coal folks here. (I know, much different situation)

Bummer. Mine has the factory tow package, fwiw. Wonder why the fuel pump would be different. Guess mine was an early-enough ‘18 to avoid it.

Mine is a 10/18 build, I also have the tow package. From what I saw, it was for vehicles built Aug 2018 through Jan 2019.
We’ve through three (I think) recalls on the wife’s Jeep. I looked up JL Wranglers the other day since it was between the 4Runner and a JLUR for my purchase, and see they’ve had 8 recalls already. That’s fun!

I took delivery August 10th - build date, uh... before that.
LOL - other than normal maintenance, I had them take care of a creaking clutch pedal (TSB with new part). Fingers crossed it will be nothing more than normal maintenance for the next 15 years! =)

You definitely need another vehicle to have fun with.
