So this car came in after the customer did the clutch job at home and then the car had no crank no start after. Found out they squished the wiring harness between the engine and transmission so I had to pull the transmission back to pull the harness out. I was gonna take the transmission completely out until I saw this abomination. I’m assuming they didn’t have a 12 point swivel socket or wrench and they decided to weld nuts onto the 12 point bolts so they could turn them

It was missing several of the bolts for the cover which let it run out of oil slowly. Lack of lube makes heat which ruins the heat treating on the gears.

I don’t know if the woman who put the screw through her roof should be driving. Her spatial awareness seems to be way off.

Yeah, that last one is why nationwide such scrutiny and active patrolling is devoted to vehicles above a certain size and/or weight.

Like this change towards video/slideshows that don’t require clicking through to view.

Corporate did these men a favor by cutting out the middle man by depositing it in the sewer. One “Supper Club” and you’d be putting a finger down your throat.

It’s not as much of a change as I would like, TBH . I still haven’t found a way to embed reddit videos into Kinja , and any attempt to download the video for reuploading elsewhere results in loss of the sound track. Since some vids don’t have sound to begin with though, I’ll just download and reupload th ose to imgur for the purpose of embedding here . But if the source video does have sound, then I supply only a screenshot, to help encourage clicking through to get the full audiovisual experience.

Seems that’s as good as I can do, for now. I’m open to suggestions!

Its been freaking me out that all the rusted out death traps in these posts lately, are vehicles roughly the same age as my truck.

I had a Dodge M-880 truck in the Army that had one side of the brake disk ground off so that the vent vanes were exposed, but this one far surpasses that in excellence.

Not to mention that t his Pacifica was from Iowa.. . Many of the worst rusty deathtra ps seem to hail from Canada, but this one hits a little too close to home.

I’m planning to have the rockers redone on my truck this summer. I should have my local indie mechanic throw it on the lift and give the frame and suspension a thorough inspection before I do that.

Wow, I thought this was due to a change R made allowing you more, not less, ease compiling these. Which was surprising since imgur has gotten repeatedly worse (especially proprietary gif format) in an attempt to solve something or other, I imagine.

Thanks again for the increasing amount of work you put into these.

Think back to the reaction when you posted a Budweiser Budvar. Not knowing Budvar was quite good. E veryone involuntarily groaned in disgust at the Budweiser part.
