Did I catch an Instagram algorithm? It is it plain luck?

I could careless about how many likes I get, but this is way out of the n ormal.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

I have small Instagram account, but I put lots into it. For me atleast C&C content always gets more likes (40-50), track & auto-x pans get 30-40. For a pan to get 200 & keep growing seems out the normal. It was posted at an off peak time too. I'm thinking I got an random algorithm on my side.

I’ve found often times it’s the story reshares that drive the numbers up and you won’t know about it. Hit the top right little dots when you’re looking at the post and you can now see who shared it (sometimes)

A similarly irrational algorithm probably determines what is on the trending bar in Oppo. I can never figure that out, and I once stacked it with two of my posts at once.

I can’t see who has shared it, it’s maybe a thing on business accounts. Even if it is shared from a personal account (that mine is) in a story I get a notification.

A quick look through your other posts shows that you havent used #corvette. That alone will usually score you a ton of likes. My friend runs Obscure Car Sightings of Western New York and we have talked about how the tagging the model of the car and how popular the actual car is will be the number one factor in determining how many likes it gets.

In the past I’ve posts corvette’s (GTLM Corvettes), with the #corvette. Still no where near the popularity of this one.
