Instead of working on the Trans Am.
Priorities, I know.
The beam running across the garage ceiling was the perfect height and width to mount all the license plates I’ve kept from previous cars I’ve owners, plus a few bonus plates.

I’ve always wondered if a Camaro would fit in a little red wagon. Now I know, thank you!

I disagree about it being low priority. Making the garage a place you want to spend time helps you spend time in it doing the cool stuff

You’re welcome... but PARDON ME that is a Valley Road Speede r that I found at Goodwill for $20 and I put some larger knobbier paint-matched wheels and tires on for swap meet hauls , thank you very much.

Now if could get above 40 degrees out there.... maybe I need to invest in a wood burning stove as my next priority enhancement...

I have an unfinished garage, so heating it would be pointless. I use a heat dish thing I got form Costco for ~$60 for some directional heat. just gotta point it at me

Same, but I could add some insulation here (other than the styrofoam that’s in between the joists now), some paneling there... and be better off than I am now with this blower with clip-on heating element that barely blows lukewarm air, similar to this:

My shop is 24'x40' and although it has insulation, there are gaping holes along the bottom of the walls so I really don’t consider it insulated. I use an 18k BTU ventless propane heater (like this one ) connected to a 20lb tank to take the edge off the cold. (I got lucky and got the heater for free from my dad.) I can run the heater at full output for around 18-20 hours on a 20lb tank. For safety’s sake, I did buy a 15' hose so I can put the tank on the other side of the closed garage door to avoid any leak-related mishaps. (Fire bad.)
I made a very redneck-looking rig out of it by mounting the heater to an old grill frame so I can roll it around wherever I want it. Unless it gets below 40° F outside it will at least keep it bearable, especially considering I can point it right where I want the heat. You can usually find a heater like that on CL for under $100. I wish I had one of the 30k BTU units, but considering it was free, I’m happy.

I need to do this one of these days. I’ve lived in the house for close to a decade now.

You should just start extending the decor inside!

Hey, that still counts as productive! I bet those plates were taking up space somewhere, and now they’re out of the way.

TBH, I’m usually pretty comfortable in coveralls with one of those big halogen work
lights behind me.

My apologies! I failed to recognize the jewelry that is most certainly NOT a plebeian little red wagon! I was trying to work in a play on the Miranda Lambert song that talks of a red wagon that’s broke, something something axle dragging. (Which I thought fitting for a Camaro).
Damn nice wagon sir.
