Okay, but seriously, it’s a welcome palate cleanser after Rise of Skywalker, and I have yet to think too hard about why that is. I don’t hate RoS, but... it just didn’t feel like it brought anything new at all.

The falcon vs tie fighters in the opening scene was great. Flying through a hollowed out star destroyer skidding around corners and such .

I re- watched it last night too and mostly enjoyed it. Re-watching The Last Jedi tonight or tomorrow....less optimistic.

A NYT movie review said that if you took all 9 SW movies and ranked them, they would all be tied for 4th place. I think that is a perfect description. After seeing RoS, I said, “Everything the critics said about it is true, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.” I cued up TFA the night before we went to see RoS, and I got bored and changed to football.

Decided to get my almost-7-year-old caught up so he can watch this last one in the theater. We’ve watched IV, V, and started VI - can’t wait for him to see the Ewoks! We’ll watch VII, VIII and go see IX, and then eventually see I, II, III and Rogue One (might have to get a little older first).

I do hate ROS it’s a decent action movie at best, and a horrible Star Wars movie.

And it ignores the best part of TLJ the end when the kid movies the broom. 

J.J. Abrams was a terrible choice of director for a Stat Wars movie. Also I reeeeeally want to see Taika Waititi get his hands on a Star War.
