I’ve seen their stuff online and there are a few tools/jigs which could be really useful. They have a store in Houston which I plan to visit sometime soon.

Totally off topic, but if you haven't gone to 100% Taquito (same strip center as Rockler) you must. My favorite taco place in Houston.

They have just about everything. They give free classes too. Worth a look.

Yes. We bought a bench vise, a saw, and a chisel. My brother is going to make the box to hold my mother’s ashes, and he is assembling the proper tools.

Even I’ve bought stuff from them over the years...the internet is wonderful but international postage costs from the USA are  not . Lee Valley Tools is also nice...

Sadly, the days of parity between the USD and the AUD are long gone.

The internet is great, but I still like to throw some business to brick and mortar stores that do things right when I can. It’s nice to be able to look and touch what you’re buying and talk to someone who  knows their product.

Same here but when the nearest specialist wood working equipment outlet is in a capital city over 5 hours drive away...the interne t is a boon.

Oh for sure. Neither replaces the other.

I will make a point of going after work so I can look at woodworking tools while eating tacos!

Lee Valley Tools is also nice, but also expensive.  I’ve only bought a few things from there over the years.  I can’t quite justify spending $250 on a hand plane.

My hand planes are mostly restored Stanley’s sourced from car boot sales... otherwise I'm quite fond of the Axminster Rider planes...which are nowhere near Lee Valley coin.
