Of course I bought it.
Is there a cooler dealership name? Becker was the local Subaru dealer in the Allentown area until they were !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . Based on the Subaru logo and font I’d likely place this from around the ‘70s, possibly early . I can’t imagine there are too many of these around.
Becker later dropped the “Wagonmaster” from the signage and stickers, but the full name remained on their paperwork until the end.

I still love that WZZO plate. It belongs on the front of a Chevy Beretta.

My mom’s side of the family has bought at least five brand-new Subarus over the last 40 years from Becker (now Ciocca). Everything from the Leone to the BRAT, to the 90s Legacy, then a number of Foresters.

That was back when the Loyale and Legacy station wagons together constituted the majority of Subaru’s US sales, the Loyale and Legacy sedans, Justy, and XT were kind of afterthoughts, they were fundamentally a wagon company, when wagons were still competitive as family vehicles.

That’s cool, but have you ever seen a dealership... on weed?

We bought two from Becker before they were bought by Ciocca ( ‘09 Forester, ‘12 Outback ) , five if you count what my uncle bought from them over the years ( ‘93 Impreza, ‘09 Forester, ‘12 Outback ). I’d love to go back in time to the days of the BRAT and Leone and walk their lot.

I occasionally think it would be fun to track down a Beretta ( or some of the other reasonably priced domestics from that era ). Objectively, they aren’t great cars, but sometimes nostalgia hits hard...

Oh I can relate. A friend of mine had a magenta Berretta back in high school.
I have occasionally looked in Craigslist, but specifically in places that are less rusty. I am absolutely dumb enough to fly to Arizona, buy a Beretta, and drive it back to PA.
That's also why I love mazda616's Pontiac Sunbird on Oppo. Just an absolute time capsule.

Someone I knew in college had a well kept base model Beretta ( this was around 6 years ago ). Honestly, I liked it more than I thought I would.
I’m starting to appreciate this era of GM/Chevrolet these day; my best friend’s ‘88 Camaro is certainly a driving factor in that. Seeing well preserved examples around too like mazda616's Pontiac Sunbird is also a treat.
Also, I like that GM had a thing for hidden door handles on some of their coupes during this era. I don’t think I’d turn down a first generation Lumina, either.

I would be happy with a Grand Prix or Beretta especially, but I like all of those cars too. Sharp but clean.

Sharp but clean describes a lot of the ‘80s to mid-90's designs very well. I wish we could go back that direction.

I think we will eventually. Look at how we went from sharp and boxy in the 80s to round and bubbly in the 90s back to more angular today. Car companies will continue to change their designs for better or worse. At some point the fake vent trend will end and we will return to cleaner lines.
