Got supplies to ready my 6 for her third (and likely final) trip to Florida.

Kinja'd!!!

It’s a 9-hour drive , which sucks. But, we are going to a gorgeous area that is not too touristy and not crowded yet still fun. I’m really looking forward to it since my son is now almost three. He’s going to have a blast on the beach.

And no, I’m not dumping the 6. This is likely its last trip to FL just because we plan to have another child next year, and after that, the Highlander will have take over long travel duty.

Also : A synthetic oil change at the dealer is $65.00. At Valvoline, it’s $85.00. On my friend’s lift with me doing it, it is $30.00 (cost of oil plus filter). Wow.

Not to mention, I had to get a new drain plug because mine is on its way to being stripped out thanks to a few dealership oil changes.

Dealership doesn't believe in changing drain plugs?

Screw Wix, one of their fuel Filters failed dramatically and spilled gas  everywhere on me. Best of luck

How have the Raybestos pads and rotors worked for you so far? I've been having brake problems (noise and warping rotors) and was thinking about going the same route since I saw your post.

They’re great! Way better than the Centrics. No issues so far. I have had to do one panic stop in them and it was fine. Damn truck in front of me on the interstate threw rocks everywhere.

The plug wasn’t sealing well anymore and the head of it was stripped out. The dealer is 45 miles away, so rather than argue with them about it, I just ordered a new plug on eBay and changed it myself.

That’s a good price.

I have always used Wix oil filters on this car and haven’t had any issues as of yet. Well, as long as I’ve been changing the oil myself. Before that, when I got it done at the dealer, it was a Mazda brand filter - whichever brand they actually are.

Eh, I have one of their oil filters on my car and two more to go so I’m sure they’re not terrible, but I’m still mad and I have a stain on my driveway as a reminder of it.
