My parents have a ladder like that and I’m afraid to use it. I don’t think it’s square anymore; I can’t get it to feel stable no matter how much I fiddle with it before climbing.

I’ve got one of those in the basement and a wooden step ladder too. They came from my father and are likely both older than me.

Burning it though is definitely a better plan me keeping it and occasionally using it.

I have one of those that needs to go away. I need to cut it and toss it out with the trash. Unfortunately burning is not an option, and I don’t want someone getting all excited over a free ladder sitting outside and taking it home.
