Who wants it?? :)

Kinja'd!!!

I’ve owned it for about 6 months, drove it around 6000km. It’s a truly great car to play with! Of course, if you’re american it’s forbidden fruit as it’S a 2002 model. To summarize, it has 130.000km, driver seat’s alcantara is in bad condition but other than that, the car is great mechanically and cosmetically! I ask 4300USD landed anywhere in the world for it, and it is Canadian legal! That’s my cost for it, so price isn’t negociable ;)

So if you guys want a little bit of french fun in your life, it’s now or never for the ultimate version of the 106! I haven’t taken pictures of it yet, but I just did the test drive and walk-around video of it today :)

Here is the video:

If you’re interested or know someone interested, contact me here, I’ll be more than happy to answer all your questions ;)

I need to make space for the Delta Integrale hehe

Can’t you get those in France? Or are the prices higher?

$4300 seems crazy cheap when you consider that it includes international shipping and the great condition.

I don’T even think you’d have to go through the UTAC for it in France man... I mean, it was built in Sochaux lol... I can ask the exact cost of importing it to friends at JapanXFrance... They import cars in France from Japan for a living so they should be able to tell me lol

you’re in Australia right? I don’T think you can import it there... it’s LHD, not on the import list and even though from December you’ll be able to import all 25yo and older cars, it’s not 25yo or older... so I doubt you’d ever be able to get it there....

Shipping it illegally to the US would cost a lot lol

Good ones are more expensive, I think they might be following the trend the 205 GTI set. Most in that price range are over 200.000 km.
Anyway, I don’t doubt it will be an easy sell.
I’ve been told to buy something more reliable and safer than my old cars to put my son in , s o it’s probably gonna be some lame commuter car ^^

You’re going to love the Delta Integrale. I got to drive my friend’s over the summer and it was awesome! He also recently sold his 205 GTI, sadly, but I suspect that just means he’s making room for something else.

My sister once had issues importing a 205 XS from Germany. I think the Germans had catalytic converters when the French didn’t or something. But that was in 1999. She would have had to go through the service des mines, but rolled it before she could.

For some reason I had no issue with my 505 V6. These also had Cats in Germany but not in France.

Anyway, I’d love to, but it wouldn’t be reasonable I guess. I need a lame commuter right now.

...How hard would it be to import a Motocompo? I guess MCM made the prices explode though

Ooh, LHD makes this an interesting proposition. Does your pricing include the import paperwork?

I have a friend in Vancouver and would have to ship it across the country to Toronto but that should be easy enough - trains run weekly. Damnit, this is tempting.

i do! I’ve lusted after small Peugeot hatchbacks for decades!

sadly, its still too new for import to the US (also, money)

The doesn’t include the importation costs, but that includes the shipping to whatever port you want it shipped to... As for importation costs.... well, let’s just say that I’m the one writing the invoice ;)

I can ship it to Halifax if you prefer... Go pick it up yourself and drive it back hehe. It’s a hoot honestly ;)

As for the 106... Got an answer from the guys at JapanXFrance. Customs would be 650€, broker 312€, certificate, controle technique et Dreal 390€. And that’s about it... That’s for the car with a 2000€ invoice of course ;)

They import a lot of cars and they say the importation for it would be real easy.

For the Motocompo now... Yep... expensive. They are 2000$ or more here in good condition. Then shipping them cost a fortune, more than a freaking car actually... It ’s stupid. And that’s just my cost if I were to get you one and ship it for free without charging you anything lol. So yeah you’re looking into spending a lot of money there to get one...

1998 the facelifted version of the EK9 Civic Type R was available in Japan. So hit me up here in 2023 with one of those (prefer black or champ white) and we’ll do a deal :D

of course, I’ve often wondered if I should just buy one now and store in Canada until 2023.

I could go visit it and do driving holidays around Canada.

I can offer indoor storage in Japan for around 100$ a month. But I don't recommend storage for a car over two years even if I do come check it from time to time...

The worst part is that I think maybe instead of sending you (or me) to jail they would simply take the car and crush it...

It kind of makes sense. Is there anything that is significantly newer that has similar driving dynamics? As in, very mechanical, very direct, very light weight, usable back seat and reliable? It kind of the last of the Mohicans. Well, the Suzuki Swift Sport comes to mind, but that really is the only newer example I can think of.

It's a dying breed, so it makes sense that prices go up.
