The end of the EJ is fast approaching. 30 years was a good (and lengthy) run.

The EJ20 turbo engine family is only 30 years old (introduced in 1989 in the Legacy, in terms of the Japanese market, where the STI still uses a variant the 2.0L engine )

It has gone through a LONG list of revisions, and the US market has only seen the EJ20/25 variants since 2004, but that is still 15 years as well.

I still wish they would offer a true AWD sport/GT coupe, a nd a true high-performance CUV/lifted car with ST I grade drivetrain, and a modern engine, maybe even with a through-the-road hybrid AWD system like i8 has. Half gas/electric, half electric only for various drive modes, regeneration, some electric-only range, and combined off-road traction or sport performance modes.

I just wish we got the EJ207 instead of the awful 257.
