$71k??? With two days left?!

These are suddenly as insane as classic american muscle cars... I remember complaining the first time I saw one go over $ 30k. I mean for fucks sake people, you could get a perfect Alfa Giulia GTV 2000 for that money. A car with more class, more history , better looks, and with a few minor mods (likely already performed on one in the $70k range) as fast, or faster, not to mention RWD and Italian. What sort of nostalgia disease is powering these prices? I mean the Type R I ntegra was a great little FWD coupe in the day, but WTF?

Yeah , this is a bubble. When mint gs-r models are commanding healthy 5 figures and even non-important cars are dragged up with them, eventually it will come back down. Maybe not for type RS, but we shall see.

I just wanted to see how the bidding went - did someone mean to enter 17000 instead of 71000?

NOPE. It went up and up and up. gradually. Normally.

Priced higher than porsches and ferraris and lambos and whatever else you can muster... even higher than NSX. Same family but faster NSX is not as much as this...

Dear Acura and other manufacturers - Please take note!

WE NEED cars like this. Fun, Light, easy to modify. No crazy safety crap. MANUAL!

Make more. These won’t cost 71000

yeah, I get it - I’m solid x and I’d love an 88 911 Carrera. If I had buckets of spare cash I’d probably have one. No different than Boomers bidding up older vettes and mopar stuff. Some IT manager probably always wanted one of those Type Rs as a teen and now has a bunch of cash...

And older millennials too, some of us are 40 or close to it, and these would have been cheap high school cars in the early/mid '00s.

Yep, this is 67 Vettes and 70 Chevelles 25 years later.  Going to be harder and harder to mock that generation as the next generation becomes it.
